Beauty Training in Vancouver, Canada
We hear from Vancouver regularly, and the advice is the same we give anyone in Canada: start with theory, then work out the local qualification path that fits your goals. In Canada, cosmetology and esthetics regulation is set at the provincial level rather than nationally, so requirements in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec can differ from each other. Some provinces license specific beauty trades directly, others regulate through workplace safety or business licensing rather than a personal credential. Electrolysis specifically is not licensed the same way in every province, and many practitioners work through professional association certification instead of a government license. None of our programs require you to be near a physical campus. A student in Vancouver gets the identical course content, videos, and lifetime access as students anywhere in Canada, since everything is delivered online from the start. We track 10 cities in Canada the same way, including Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, if you want to compare notes with students elsewhere in the country.
US state licensing rules on this site apply to in-person practice in the United States only, and nothing here is legal advice for Canada. Students in Vancouver can enroll in our online programs worldwide.
What You Will Study
Across the three programs, you will work through hair and skin science and equipment and probes for electrolysis, skin science basics and product knowledge for cosmetology, wax types and products and facial waxing for waxing, plus safety, sanitation, and client care in every course. Each program is broken into short modules you can revisit as many times as you want, which tends to matter more for Vancouver students than for anyone else: without a local school nearby, being able to go back and re-watch a lesson before an exam or an in-person clinical day is often the difference between feeling prepared and feeling like you are starting over.
Who This Is For
The courses work whether you are a complete beginner starting from zero, a career changer moving into beauty work for the first time, or someone who already works in the industry and wants a deeper theory foundation. Vancouver students fall into all three categories, and the self-paced format means none of them need to slow down for the others.
